Warranty Policy

We care about every COLAMY product, and we value every COLAMY customer.

We are committed to providing reliable product quality and responsive after-sales service.

Australian Consumer Law

This COLAMY Limited Warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under the ACL.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty Overview

COLAMY warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use during the applicable warranty period.

For defects covered by this voluntary warranty, COLAMY will repair or replace the affected product or component. This does not limit any right to a refund, replacement, repair, or compensation available under the Australian Consumer Law.

This voluntary warranty applies to products purchased directly from COLAMY or an authorised COLAMY reseller and is available to the original purchaser. These eligibility conditions do not limit any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

If the original product or component is no longer available or has been discontinued, COLAMY may offer a comparable or improved replacement. This does not limit any right to choose a refund or replacement where that right is available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Proof of purchase, such as a valid order number or purchase receipt, may be required when submitting a warranty claim.

Warranty Period

For the original purchaser, COLAMY provides a one-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship.

The following products are covered by a three-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase:

Product COLAMY Voluntary Warranty Period
Atlas Chair 3 years from the original date of purchase
Atlas-01 Chair 3 years from the original date of purchase
VELIA Chair 3 years from the original date of purchase
Other COLAMY products 1 year from the original date of purchase

The periods shown above apply to COLAMY’s voluntary warranty only. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law may continue beyond these periods.

These warranty periods apply to COLAMY’s voluntary warranty and do not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you discover a defect that may be covered by this warranty, please contact COLAMY as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.

Please email hello@colamyhome.com or submit a request through our online Contact Form and provide:

  • Your valid order number or other proof of purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos or videos showing the defect, where reasonably practicable
  • Any other information reasonably requested by our customer service team to assess the claim

COLAMY will review the information provided and may request additional information reasonably necessary to assess the claim. If the issue cannot be shown in photos or videos, please describe it so we can advise you on the next steps.

If your claim is accepted under this voluntary warranty, COLAMY will arrange an appropriate repair or replacement and cover the reasonable shipping costs associated with the approved claim. Please contact us before returning any product so that we can provide the applicable return instructions.

What This Warranty Covers

Subject to the terms and exclusions below, this warranty covers:

  1. Missing product components or materials at the time of delivery.
  2. Defects in materials or workmanship that become apparent during the applicable warranty period, including defects present at the time of delivery.
  3. Products that do not correspond with their applicable product description at the time of delivery.
  4. Manufacturing defects affecting major functional components, including:
    • Caster mechanism failure
    • Recline mechanism failure
    • Tilt mechanism failure
    • Gas lift failure
    • Armrest mechanism failure

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

To the extent permitted by Australian law, COLAMY’s voluntary warranty does not cover:

  1. Normal wear and tear, including deterioration that is not caused by a manufacturing defect, such as:
    • Normal wear, fading, pilling, stretching, or deterioration of upholstery, including PU leather, fabric, and mesh
    • Normal wear to armrest pads, cushions, pillows, casters, stitching, and other surface components
    • Cosmetic damage to plastic coverings or finishes resulting from normal use
    • Normal variations in the tightness or feel of adjustable mechanisms over time
    • Minor variations in product dimensions, materials, finishes, or colour that do not amount to a defect or a failure to match the product description or any applicable sample
  2. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or external events, including:
    • Improper use or handling
    • Accidental or physical damage
    • Damage caused by pets
    • Fire, flood, or other natural events
    • Damage resulting from circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect
  3. Damage caused during assembly where the product was assembled incorrectly or the applicable COLAMY assembly instructions were not followed.
  4. Unauthorised modifications or repairs that cause or contribute to the product failure.
  5. Commercial or industrial use, including use by landlords, leasing companies, contractors, businesses, rental properties, or other commercial or industrial environments. This exclusion does not remove any rights an eligible purchaser may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
  6. Loss or damage unrelated to a covered defect. This does not exclude any entitlement under the Australian Consumer Law to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee.

These exclusions apply only to COLAMY’s voluntary warranty and do not exclude or limit any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by this voluntary warranty.

Depending on the circumstances and the nature of the failure, you may have rights to a repair, replacement, refund, or compensation under the Australian Consumer Law.

These rights exist independently of, and may continue beyond, the warranty periods stated in this policy.

For more information about your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, please visit the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) website.

To help ensure the safe use and proper care of your COLAMY product, please follow the assembly, use, and care instructions provided with the product.

If you no longer have the applicable instructions, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

Where reasonably practicable, please retain the packaging, affected parts, and other relevant materials while we assess your claim. Original packaging is not required to exercise your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
